Davidson is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must be a self-starter, be detail oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills and work well with others. This position requires strategic leadership and technical expertise to deliver secure and scalable solutions that address emergent challenges in cybersecurity, mission assurance, and cross-domain collaboration for DoW operations.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Cybersecurity Leadership:

  • Implement and mature Zero-Trust cybersecurity architectures to enhance data protection, network security, and operational resilience.
  • Support Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) to enable secure data exchange and interoperability across multi-domain environments.
  • Develop and support cybersecurity dashboards and analytics capabilities to improve visibility and decision-making to cybersecurity risks
  • Lead Purple Team operations, identify vulnerabilities and strengthen defensive capabilities

Proposal Development and Training:

  • Provide cybersecurity expertise for proposal efforts, contributing differentiated insights for proposals and customer engagements.
  • Develop workforce training strategies to align cybersecurity goals with evolving mission requirements and organizational growth.
  • Mentor junior engineers while driving standardization and continuity across processes for efficient operations and effective communication.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, RMF compliance, Zero-Trust architecture, and cross-domain solutions.
  • Implement STIGs and hardening standards across systems and networks in accordance with DoW requirements
  • Expertise in supporting Multi-Level Security (MLS) architectures and implementing mission-focused cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and their application in multi-domain operational environments
  • Proven understanding of cybersecurity with the ability to develop and maintain a Risk Management Framework authorization package and eMASS packages.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities to drive collaboration across technical teams and organizational leadership.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as FedRAMP, RMF, ISO27001, and knowledge of Zero-Trust models.

Desired Skills/Tools:

  • Threat intelligence, incident analysis & response, and security monitoring
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools (Splunk, SolarWinds)
  • Familiarity IDS/IPS, EDR Solutions
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks standards (FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001)

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field required.
  • Master's degree is strongly preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret
