Information System Engineer 2 (Commerce IT)

Full Time| Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM| 60/40- Onsite/Remote

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Administers compute and storage systems and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation systems. You will report to the Information Systems Manager.

Primary Tasks:

1.        You will perform moderately, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage (NAS).

2.       Perform moderately, including virtualization hardware, physical servers, and hosted systems.

3.       Assist and lead the tasks of assuring reliable and stable data storage management, security, backup, restoration, archiving and replication.

4.       Assure systems performance and stability.

5.       You will assure systems security.

6.       Administer server OS, including Windows Server 2008, 2012+, and Redhat Linux

7.       Configure and maintain Windows Active Directory environments.

8.       Maintain and configure enterprise-wide VMware environments.

9.       Apply company procedures to resolve issues promptly.

10.     Analyze situational data to resolve issues or follow escalation chain.

11.     You will coordinate maintenance schedule and notifications with internal IT teams

12.    Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or professional IT certification or 4 years related experience.

·         Ability to perform complex tasks

·         Experience managing, and troubleshooting system infrastructure based on best practices

·         Working knowledge of server operating systems, active directory, and VMware.

·         Must be comfortable working in an accountable and maintain flexible working hours

·         3 years’ experience supporting important IT infrastructure
