Job Description:

Metas Solutions has an "opening" for a talented Lead Microsoft 365 Developer. The Lead Microsoft 365 (M365) Developer will join us to provide M365 application development, administration, and support services for our federal public health client. The Lead M365 Developer will lead a team of developers to support design, development, administration, and enhancement of M365 solutions for client staff.

Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain M365 applications and workflows
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Architect end-to-end solutions, including user interface, middle-tier, and data layers

Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and manage a team of M365 developers
  • Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to development standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Workflow & Application Development

  • Oversee development and optimization of workflows across M365 platforms (e.g., Power Platform, SharePoint (SP), Teams)
  • Drive implementation of new M365 capabilities and enhancements
  • Ensure scalability and sustainability of existing solutions

Administration & Security

  • Administer M365 environments, including user permissions and access controls
  • Ensure all solutions comply with federal IT security requirements
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements

Documentation & Governance

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Establish development standards, governance processes, and best practices

User Support & Training

  • Provide advanced support for complex M365 issues
  • Lead training sessions and knowledge transfer initiatives for users and stakeholders

Collaboration


  • Partner with client leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and project managers
  • Ensure solutions align with client mission priorities and business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, information systems, or related field
  • 7+ years in software development
  • 4+ years working with M365 (SP Online, Power Platform, Teams)
  • 2+ years of experience leading developers or technical teams
  • Strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SP Online
  • Experience designing end-to-end solutions (user interface, business logic, data integration)
  • Experience with M365 administration (permissions, governance, tenant-level concepts)
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into technical designs
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation, SOPs, and design documents
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related technical or management field
  • Experience with SP Framework, Azure services, Dataverse
  • Microsoft Certifications: Power Platform Solution Architect, Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect
  • Experience supporting CDC or HHS environments
