As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads the design and implementation of complex features, ensuring API contracts and backward compatibility.
- Owns production readiness by defining SLOs, driving observability, and reducing MTTR through durable fixes and runbooks.
- Writes high-quality code across backend and frontend, and rigorously review code from peers.
- Applies database best practices to optimize latency and throughput for user-facing experiences.
- Integrates privacy-safe AI tools to accelerate development tasks, maintaining human-in-the-loop review and CI quality gates.
- Establishes governance for AI use, track measurable outcomes, and ensure security and reliability are not compromised.
- Collaborates across engineering, product, and design teams to deliver holistic solutions and drive clarity of outcomes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in .NET/C#
- Experience in Typescript and React
- Travel or hospitality domain experience, especially with booking flows, inventory consistency, and resilient integrations.
- Experience introducing evaluation frameworks for AI‑assisted development or AI features (offline metrics, canarying, telemetry, drift detection).
- Familiarity with frontend performance and accessibility practices.
