Job Overview:

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role is a contract position and involves designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.



Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and Cisco ISE for secure network access control.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot Aruba wireless solutions to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
  • Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for network-related issues.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Cisco Routers and Switches.
  • Proficiency with Cisco ISE for identity-based network access control.
  • Hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless solutions, including deployment and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA, CCNP or related certification.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy configuration and threat management.
  • Must be available to work a contract-based role.
