Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner / Technical Program Manager / Test Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale enterprise platforms within the American Express (AMEX) ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Network, CAS (Customer Authentication Services), and AMP (Access Management Platform), along with a strong background in Agile delivery, program management, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Program Management

  • Act as a Product Owner/TPM/Test Manager, driving end-to-end delivery of enterprise applications
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Prioritize features based on business value, technical feasibility, and risk

Platform Management (AMEX Environment)

  • Manage and oversee platforms related to:
    • Network
    • CAS (Customer Authentication Services)
    • AMP (Access Management Platform)
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, and compliance with enterprise security standards

Agile Delivery & Execution

  • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Define and oversee test strategies, planning, and execution
  • Ensure high-quality releases through effective QA practices and release management
  • Support production issues and continuous improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Track KPIs and provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive issue resolution and ensure transparency across teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Program Manager, or Test Manager in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with AMEX platforms (Network, CAS, AMP)
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes
  • Experience managing large-scale distributed systems and platform operations
  • Strong background in QA/testing practices, release management, and production support
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ALM, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or payments domain
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and authentication platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • 8–15+ years of experience in product/program/test management roles
  • Strong mix of technical, functional, and leadership capabilities
  • Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced enterprise environments
