Role Summary

Wolfe is seeking a Security Engineer to deliver measurable improvements in identity management, access control, cloud governance, and operational compliance. Reduce risk, support regulatory alignment, and enable secure business growth, in line with organizational strategy and industry best practices.

This is a 5-day onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead Security Engineer, focusing on enhancing all aspects of identity, endpoint, artificial intelligence, and physical security. This includes conducting regular maturity assessments and measurements and overseeing the daily operations of security processes.
  • Develop alerts and automated workflows utilizing systems such as endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, email security, SIEM, and cloud native security services. Respond to incidents and requests from various managed third-party security service providers.
  • Strengthen and refine security processes by auditing information security procedures. Automate processes and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) solutions whenever possible to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct remote incident response for both physical and cyber/logical security events. Responsibilities include containment, investigation, remediation, and completion of incident reports.
  • Support engineering and operational efforts of PCI compliance.
  • Advance identity management practices through automation and deployment of Single Sign-On (SSO) and enterprise Identity Management solutions.
  • Assist with various aspects of security program management. Duties may include program and resource management, project roadmap development, security architecture, contract and financial management, risk management, audit preparedness, executive reporting, responding to third-party assessments, delivering security awareness, and managing information security policies.
  • Provide support for physical security operations at a high-security manufacturing facility as needed.
  • Help maintain and enforce company security policies and procedures.

For more clarity on the role, below are the success metrics and measurements for this role in the first 90 to 120 days:

  • Improve Identity/Access Management Onboarding and Offboarding Processes via SSO and IAM deployments
  • Migrate Orphaned Cloud Projects and Establish Group Structure for a Department’s Products & Integrate with ticketing solution
  • Evaluate and Implement Artificial Intelligence driven Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) / Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Platform for two primary systems
  • Remediate issues and improve all processes related to manufacturing and non-manufacturing Security Operations and adhere strictly to PCI Card Production Compliance security standards
  • Assist with deploying Security Awareness and Training improving the security culture of the organization and reducing human risk.

Qualifications

  • Post high school degree in a related field such as Information Technology or Cyber/Information Security and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Capable of working independently in high-security IT environments and collaborating with teams.
  • Able to lead cross-functional groups to achieve security objectives.
  • On-call and non-standard hours may be required.
  • Highly organized, security-focused, skilled at writing clear documentation, and compliant with change management policies.

Ideal qualifications are Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or other security related certifications; and working experience with web application development teams and secure coding practices is desirable.
