Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Seattle, WA.

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of complex Business Intelligence (BI) information models, dashboards, metrics and reports that meet business objectives.  Additionally, you will be responsible for evaluating current technologies for best fit and apply proven methodologies and best practices.  Lastly, you will combine strong SQL/programming skills, data modeling expertise and domain knowledge to produce efficient, scalable BI solutions that improve business productivity and outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical and strategic leader across cross-functional teams

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of BI solutions: data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic layers, cubes, metrics and visualizations

  • Translate business requirements into robust BI architectures, metrics definitions and dashboards that enable insight and action

  • Assess existing technology stack and recommend tools, platforms and patterns (cloud/on premises) that best meet performance, scale, security and cost objectives

  • Author and enforce best practices for data modeling, data quality, metadata management, naming conventions and version control

  • Write, optimize and review complex SQL and other data transformation code to ensure efficient, scalable pipelines

  • Build reusable, documented semantic layers / dataset definitions to ensure consistency of business metrics across dashboards and reports

  • Mentor and coach BI developers, analysts and data engineers; conduct design reviews and code reviews

  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists and IT for delivery, deployment and operational support

  • Establish monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting processes for BI performance and data quality

  • Drive continuous improvement: prototype new capabilities, proof-of-concepts and adoption of new BI/analytics trends (embedded analytics, self-service BI, data observability)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience developing reports and insights utilizing reporting/data analytical/business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI and Maximo

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL/Teradata SQL, R, Python or Toad

  • 3+ years of experience with data pipeline tools and Extract Transform Load (ETL) services

  • 1+ years of experience with large-scale data processing, distributed computing, and cloud platforms

  • 3+ years of experience with development and integration of programs, plans, strategies, processes, and KPIs to track progress to and enable attainment of business goals

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field

  • Experience implementing self-service BI programs and training business users

  • Certifications such as Certified Business Intelligence Professional, vendor-specific BI certifications, or cloud data platform certifications

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to define requirements and present insights
