Responsibilities:

The Architecture team has accountability for technology choices and solution design across multiple payment systems and payment systems modernization. This Architect is a technical leader responsible for researching, analyzing, proposing, and architecting requirements-based products and solutions that align with the business and technological needs of the enterprise by acting as a trusted partner to business. The Solutions Architect collaborates with business stakeholders, technology providers, security, and other architects to develop technology and information architectures, solution designs, strategies, and roadmaps for payment systems.

1. Partners with senior leadership of internal business lines, customer entities, Infrastructure provider and peers to assist in the identification of business needs and shapes IT vision by offering appropriate strategic and tactical technical solutions to the business along with a transition roadmap & plan for realizing it.
2. Define strategic direction in terms of the technologies, standards, processes, and current/target state architectures across the enterprise.
3. Ensure product level solutions adhere to strategic direction in terms of the technologies, standards, processes, and current/target state architectures across the enterprise.
4. Work across technology, organization, and business to outline large transformation programs and work with program leads and business lines to deliver on them.
5. Partner with other Enterprise, Platform, Security, Data, and Infrastructure Architects to deliver best in class solutions.
6. Guide the organization to incorporate architecture design patterns, system best practices and standards in architecture, security, and infrastructure.
7. Evaluate new technologies and vendors that might be beneficial to the business line along with conducting vendor evaluation, proof of concepts, MVP definition, and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the business forward.
8. Demonstrate leadership and agility when responding to change or when working with ambiguity.

Qualifications:

1. 8+ years of architecture experience in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
2. Strong problem solving, oral and written communication skills including experience with executive presentations.
3. In-depth knowledge of current technology, industry standards and frameworks, information management & emerging technology trends and industry developments.
4. In-depth knowledge of Cloud technology, AWS, and API integrations.
5. Ability to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs.
6. Strong organizational skills to lead competing and dynamic priorities, and multiple concurrent activities.
7. Desirable to have banking, financial or payment processing experience. Experience with real-time payment processing is preferred.
8. Experience defining future state strategy and architecture principles in support of business roadmaps.
9. Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and product centric execution models
10. Experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards.
11. Ability to drive ideas and influence stakeholders.
12. Ability in confident presentation and in writing for a variety of audiences.
13. Desirable to have Cloud certifications or experience.
14. Bachelor's in computer science, Information System, Systems Analysis or related experience
