Provides hardware and software support for personal computers, cellular telephones, and support for Cisco network/telecommunications system infrastructure equipment which includes installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting problems. Maintains and reports repairs for infrastructure, hardware, and software and serves as point-of-contact with vendors to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment. Advises, trains, and assists customers on system operations and usage as required. Updates documentation manuals with new procedures and modifications to existing procedures as required.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across endpoint, network, server, and security infrastructure layers.
- Support and maintain enterprise network environments, including switching, wireless systems, VLAN segmentation, routing behaviors, and remote connectivity
solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical and networking issues impacting multi-site operations.
- Assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network appliances, monitoring systems, and connectivity tools.
- Participate in network optimization activities by identifying bottlenecks, conducting root-cause analysis, and recommending performance improvements.
- Lead or co-lead medium-scale upgrade efforts, hardware refresh projects, system rollouts, or infrastructure migrations.
The Technical Analyst II works and reports as part of the Public Safety Corrections Team. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 LBS. and also push or pull heavy objects.
PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 LBS. and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to operate a keyboard. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field and three (3) years' experience in development and/or maintenance of system/network operations OR accredited college or university with an Associate degree in Computer Science, Electronics technology, Management Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of experience in development and maintenance of systems operation. Requires experience with the following: Windows 11, VOIP telephone systems, email and cellular technologies, smartphones and email integration, Android and IOS operating systems, wireless hotspots (Mifi) Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory, Microsoft SCCM, IP and subnets with VPN tunneling, firewalls, and Internet security.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Professional-level credentials demonstrating advanced understanding of modern operating systems, network infrastructure, and identity/access management may be considered in lieu of an Associate degree.
