Digital Media AV Specialist - IT Support

Job Title: Digital Media & AV Specialist Location: Winston Salem Christian School, Winston-Salem, NC Position Type: Full-Time (10 Month Teacher Position + 2 weeks; $32,000) Start Date: August 1, 2025

Overview:

Winston Salem Christian School is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to serve as our Digital Media, AV Specialist, and IT support. This full-time position combines classroom instruction with media production and school-wide AV support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Christian education, storytelling, technology, and equipping students with real-world digital skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teaching (High School Video Production – 2 Classes)

· Instruct two high school video production/media courses focused on content creation, editing, and broadcasting.

· Develop a Christ-centered, project-based curriculum that integrates media literacy, videography, and digital communication.

· Mentor students in hands-on video and media projects, including school events, chapel services, and promotional content.

Audio-Visual (AV) Coordination

· Manage AV needs for school events including chapel, assemblies, theater productions, and graduation.

· Maintain and operate audio, video, lighting, and livestream equipment across campus.

· Train and support student AV teams to foster student leadership in technical roles.

Digital Footprint & Media Development

· Assist in building and expanding the school’s digital presence through video content, social media, and website enhancements.

· Oversee live broadcast for select events on campus; developing the school’s youtube account.

· Collaborate with the administrative team to produce compelling visual content that promotes the school’s mission and culture.

· Lead student involvement in content creation to highlight student life, athletics, and academic excellence.

· Support Director of IT with help desk tasks

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).

· Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and basic graphic design tools.

· Strong understanding of AV systems including soundboards, cameras, lighting, and livestreaming technology.

· Experience working in a school or ministry setting preferred.
