Description

AMS Fulfillment is a 700-person third-party logistics company serving 65+ clients. We're looking for a Director of AI Enablement to identify high-impact AI opportunities across every department, implement solutions, drive adoption, and measure results.

This isn't a strategy-only role. You'll be hands-on — building solutions, configuring tools, and working directly with teams across Sales, Customer Service, Finance, HR, and Operations. You'll partner closely with our Technology team on custom solutions and report to the CTO with a mandate to move fast.

What You'll Do

  • Assess workflows across all departments and build a prioritized AI opportunity backlog
  • Implement AI solutions — evaluate build vs. buy, configure tools, work with our dev team on custom solutions
  • Drive adoption through training, playbooks, and hands-on support
  • Track and report ROI — time saved, cost reduction, quality improvements
  • Build the foundation for a broader AI-enabled operating model

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience using AI/LLM tools to deliver real results (not just interest — you've shipped something)
  • Track record implementing process improvements or automation
  • Ability to work cross-functionally without positional authority
  • Can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Background in technical, operations, or business process roles

Nice to Have

  • 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations experience
  • SQL or data analysis skills
  • Change management experience
  • Experience building business cases with ROI analysis


Qualifications

Hands-on AI/LLM experience

Has actually used AI tools to deliver results — not just 'interested in AI.' Ask for specific examples of what they built or implemented.

Implementation track record

They've shipped something — process improvements, automation, new tools. Not just strategy decks.

Cross-functional influence

Can work across departments without positional authority. Gets things done through relationships and credibility.

Technical translation skills

Can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders without condescension or jargon.

 

Strong Preferences

  • 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations exposure
  • Experience building business cases with ROI analysis
  • SQL or data analysis skills — can dig into data themselves, not just delegate
  • Change management experience — getting people to actually adopt new tools
  • Experience in operational businesses (not just tech companies)

Remote position with monthly on-site visits during the first few months (Valencia, CA or New Holland, PA), transitioning to quarterly thereafter.
