Company Description

We are seeking a Technical Director to support the United States Air Force in a full-time role at the intersection of software engineering, data analytics, and program execution.

This role focuses on integrating software development with advanced data analysis to drive operational insight, automate workflows, and manage data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will understand Department of Defense (DoD) environments, including Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and be able to apply both technical and analytical expertise to mission-critical projects.

Job Description

 

  • Support project leadership by developing code and performing data analysis to inform business decisions, product development, and strategy
  • Bridge engineering and data science efforts to create scalable data tools and analytical solutions
  • Apply data analytics across multiple Security Classification Guides (SCGs) to determine proper classification levels
  • Implement software engineering best practices for data, including version control, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and maintain systems for managing and querying data in relational databases
  • Create data visualizations that communicate trends, patterns, and insights for decision-making
  • Automate data processing, transformation, and reporting using scripting tools
  • Recommend and enforce proper classification of technical information in compliance with SCGs
  • Ensure all documentation meets DoD and DNI classification and distribution requirements

Qualifications

 

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (required prior to hire)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of professional experience in:

-- Software engineering

-- Data analysis

-- Technical program execution

  • Experience working with Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
  • Strong background in multiple operating systems (e.g., UNIX, Linux)
  • Experience with a range of programming and development tools, including:

-- Java, XML

-- Scripting and interpreted languages

-- Frontend and backend technologies

-- Database systems

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools/platforms such as:

-- Python, R, SQL

-- Power BI, Tableau

  • Knowledge of classification management processes and compliance with DoD and DNI regulations
  • Experience working in classified DoD environments

  • Location:  Washington, DC 20330 (The Pentagon, 1670 Air Force Pentagon)
  • Employment Type:  Full-Time (W-2)
  • Remote Work:  Hybrid (3–4 days/week on-site required)
  • Clearance:  Top Secret with SCI eligibility
