DescriptionJob Summary:
Supports the organization by maintaining, updating, and securing the information technology infrastructure of the agency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs hardware and software installation and configuration for network devices and servers.
- Monitors performance and security of servers, VPNs, WAPs, and other network-connected devices.
- Troubleshoots and repairs any network equipment and/or servers and provides high level technical support to the Help Desk Specialist as required.
- Supports and configures Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file, and print services for all locations, systems, and users.
- Coordinates with third party application vendors to provide technical support
- Provides direct Help Desk support to end users as needed.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Minimum of an associate degree in computer science or related field, equivalent experience, or certifications.
- Experience managing Linux servers (CLI-only).
- Experience providing direct end user technical support.
- Two years’ experience managing Windows Server 2012 or newer.
- Two years’ experience managing an Office 365 Tenant.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot network equipment and services such as DHCP, DNS, SMTP, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, and Azure Active Directory.
- Available to address occasional IT needs in the evenings and weekends.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
