The IT Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, inventory, and security of technical resources, which includes file servers, workstations (desktop and laptop computers), peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.), presentation systems, and application software installed in classrooms, laboratories, offices, and work areas. Work assignments are usually received from the Help Desk. This position is also the media support main point of contact for internal and external clients.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years' professional experience in hands-on computer troubleshooting and repair.
Valid NC drivers' license.
Preferred:
Associate's degree in information systems or other closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Experience in an institution of higher education.
