Systems Administration
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, workstations, and related infrastructure. Assist with software installation, updates, configuration management, backup/recovery and patch management on systems and devices. Help create, maintain and update technical documentation. Provide technical support to internal users by troubleshooting basic system and access issues. Assist with system backups, recovery checks, and routine maintenance tasks. Support the configuration and deployment of hardware, operating systems, and applications. Help maintain IT security practices, including access controls, updates, and basic security monitoring. Participate in IT projects or system improvements under direction. Escalate complex issues when necessary. Assist with basic scripting or automation tasks to improve system administration efficiency. Provide limited assistance with network monitoring and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Current student pursuing a degree in computing/relevant field: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence or a related field. Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and networking concepts. Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow technical procedures and document work clearly. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage tasks independently and work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Linux or Windows Server administration. Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS , DHCP ). Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell). Exposure to virtualization platforms or cloud services. Prior experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role. Interest in IT infrastructure, system administration, or DevOps practices.
